Notes |
- Laid to Rest.
Mary, wife of W. D. Brohman, died of a sudden attach of paralysis at her home in Clarks, on Monday, Mch. 17.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the Catholic Church, which was filled almost to its utmost capacity, many non-Catholics being present and among the most sincere mourners. The casket was covered with rare and costly flowers and a long procession of carriages followed the remains to their last resting place in the cemetery east of town. Rev. Father Delfosse conducted the services.
Mary Schell was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, June 23, 1855, was married in New Germany, Ontario to W. D. Brohman April 3, 1871. They made their home in Canada until March 1881 when they came to Nebraska, where they have since resided, Mr. Brohman being one of the business men of Clarks. Mrs. Brohman leaves a record in the hearts of those who knew her that I will be cherished forever. A good faithful wife and mother, one who always looked well to the affairs of her own household, yet had ever a kind word and smile for her neighbors: ever ready to do a good deed when and where she could. Above all a faithful christian mother, as is proven by her good children. In her the church has lost one who always set a good example, one who in her quiet cheerful way, showed to all how beautiful a truly christian life can be.
