      Passed away peacefully on Friday Jan 7, 2022 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Rose resided in Cambridge. She was born 83 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the daughter of the late William and Esther (Haufschild) White.

      Beloved wife of the late Claire Joseph Stere whom she married on October 17, 1959. Dear mother of Kim & husband David Bell of Elora, Shelley Schenk of Kitchener, Julie & husband Barry Kalbfleisch of New Hamburg. Treasured Maam to Dennis, Jessica and her boyfriend Greg, Madison, Kurtis, Cameron, Emily and her boyfriend Mitchell. Fondly remembered by Kris Schenk and his family. Sadly missed by brother Garry White and sister Mary Defer and her friend Roland Nault. Remembered by sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Wayne & Jeanne Stere, Gary Stere. Predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, Bill & Gail and Albert White. Predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Irvin and Lucinda (Albrecht) Stere, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jean Stere, Marjorie and James (Jim) Kalbfleisch, Robert (Bob) and Betty Stere, Brenda (in infancy).

      Warmly remembered by godchildren Wendy Bender and Jeff Stere and many nieces and nephews.

      Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg. On Monday, January 10, 2022 from 3 \endash 5 & 7 -9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Brianne Jourdin officiating. The funeral service will be available via livestream for those who are unable to attend.

      Masks and social distancing protocols must be followed when in the funeral home.

      As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Mary's Healthcare Foundation. The family would like to extend sincere appreciation for the wonderful care received by the health care teams on Med A & Med B units at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
