Galt has also lost, one of its oldest inhabitants in the death. or Mr James C Longan, who died at the residence of his son, Mr John M. Longan, at Windsor, on Saturday evening, the 9th inst. Mr Longan was one of the first settlers in Galt, and was here through all the perilous times of the dreadful visitation of cholera, which then almost depopulated the village. Mr Longan also took an active part in assisting to quell the rebellion rendering then good service to his country. During his long residence amongst us. Mr Longan was very much respected.
