- GETS TEN LASHES
Gregory Laflamme of Kitchener, was sentenced to not less than six months and not more than two years in the Ontario Reformatory, with 10 lashes at the end of 30 days' imprisonment, by Magistrate Weir in Police Court on Saturday.
He was convicted of the theft of $41 from a friend whom he was visiting with his brother. Andrew Laflamme, an accomplice of Gregory. was fined $100 and only good character evidence on the part of his employer saved him from a prison term also.
Gregory asked Magistrate Weir if good conduct would save him from the lashes, but the magistrate replied in the negatitve, pointing out that the prisoner had been altogether too frequent a visitor in Police Court during the past two years.

May Face Charge of Highway Robbery
Gregory Lafiamme was arrested during the weekend and will probably face a charge of highway robbery within a day or so. Some weeks ago a Stratford man was arrested by the police in an intoxicated condition.
When brought before the magistrate he told of having been taken out somewhere, given some drinks and robbed of his watch, money and overcoat. Laflamme has been arrested as one of the men alleged to have been implicated.
