- Alvin B. Martin, 62, of RR 2, Wallenstein, died Friday, June 17, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born June 21, 1897, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses B. Martin,
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Steckle; five sons, Elmer, RR 2, Wallenstein; Edgar of Hawkesville; Alvin at home; Eldon, RR 2, Drayton; and Leonard, RR 2 Alma; five daughters, Mrs. Aden (Alice) Martin and Mrs. Abner (Ella) Shantz, both of RR 2, Wallenstein; Mrs. Sidney (Irene) Martin and Mrs. Rufus (Verna) Gingerich, both of RR 2, Drayton, and Elsie at home; two brothers, Noah, RR 2, Wallenstein, and 28 grandchildren.
The body was at the residence where a funeral service was conducted Monday, followed by a service at the Mennonite Meeting House, Fourth, concession of Peel Township. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
