Passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family on February 10, 2024 at University Gates LTC in Waterloo at the age of 95.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 71 years, James Brubacher.

Dear Mother of Murray (Christine) and Dawna Bast (David).

Loving Grandmother of Peter (Cassandra), Matthew Bast (Heather), Dan (Lindsay), Joshua Bast and Amanda Hildebrandt (Luke).

Lorna had 12 great grandchildren. The 12th was born 6 days before her passing and she was so happy to see pictures of wee baby Cora.

Sister of Alice Kinsie and Wanda Litwiller, sister in law of Alice Martens (Dave). Lorna will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pre deceased by infant son Richard in 1957, parents Rachel and Milton Litwiller and many siblings, in-laws and their spouses.

Lorna was a long time member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener.

We would like to thank the exceptional staff at The Village of University Gates Retirement and LTC homes for their loving and compassionate care of Mom for almost 2 years and especially during her last 8 weeks. Also a special thanks to the Paramed staff who appeared several times a day with smiling faces to help with Mom's care while she still lived in Retirement. Mom also had some extra special angels who went well beyond what was required of them and we are so thankful for each one of you. We are extremely grateful to Dr Saurabh Kalra for his kindness and compassion when he stepped in to help Mom at the most vulnerable time of her life. We will be forever thankful for him and his kind staff and residents.

A private family Celebration of Lorna's life has taken place at University Gates followed by interment at First Mennonite Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mennonite Central Committee and First Mennonite Church would be appreciated by the family (cards may be placed by calling the Henry Walser Funeral Home 519-749-8467).
