      DIED AT THE HOME OF JACOB M. FOERSTER

      There died at Elmira at 12.15 a.m. Saturday, March 5, Mr. Henry Brox, a respected citizen of Waterloo. Mr. Brox had some months ago had an operation for the removal of his tonsils performed and never recovered from it. Thirteen weeks ago, being still unwell, he came on a visit to his brother-in-law, and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob M. Foerster of Elmira. Complications followed the operation and he grew gradually worse, passing to rest shortly after midnight of Friday. He was born and brought up on a farm in the Sandhills, north of Elmira and remained with his parents until he was about 20 or 22 years of age when he obtained employment with a Mr. Snider near Bloomingdale, later he learned the woodworker's trade and was employed in the furniture factories of the Twin City. He had lived many years in Waterloo.

      Mr. Brox married Miss Carrie Hahn of Heidelberg, who predeceased him in August of 1920. Their union was not blessed with any children. He had a number of brothers and sisters, namely, Mr. John, Mr. Louis and Mr. William Brox of Elmira, Mr. Jacob of Waterloo and Mr. Daniel Brox of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Mrs. Jacob Foerster, Mrs. Benjamin Shoemaker and Mrs. William Dreisinger of Elmira, Mrs. M. Clemens of Kitchener and Mrs. Samuel Reist of Alberta. Mr. Brox was a good citizen, industrious and kind and was well liked by his employers and associates. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 55 years, 9 months and 16 days. He was a member of the Evangelical church, Waterloo. His funeral was held on Monday afternoon, at 1.30 o'clock from the residence of Mr. Jacob Foerster, Queen Street. Services were conducted at the house by Rev. G. T. Brown. Afterward his remains were conveyed to Waterloo, and interred in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Many friends and acquaintances attended the funeral. The citizens of Elmira extend their condolences to the bereaved brothers and sisters of the deceased in their hour of affliction.
