  • Notes
    • There passed away on Tuesday of last week an old and respected resident in the person of James Honsinger. Deceased was born near Toronto in 1830, and was married about 50 years ago to Jean Mathews. They lived for some years on the brickyard farm at Wallenstein, but bought a farm at Yatton nearly thirty years ago. Some time ago Mr. and Mrs. Honsinger retired from the farm and lived in the village of Yatton, where deceased was caretaker of the school and also carried the mail between Yatton and Macton, but died before he could complete his four years' contract as mail carrier. Some time ago the physical powers of deceased began to give out and he gradually weakened till he passed peacefully away on the 11th inst. His aged life partner is left to complete life's journey alone. Four children also survive, namely: Sarah Ann (Mrs. Ellis), of California; John E. at Yatton; Bella (Mrs. Armstrong), of Hollen; James H., on the old homestead. Deceased was a consistent member of Zion church. His remains were interred in the Methodist cemetery at Glenallan last Thursday, in presence of a large number of relatives and friends.
