  Hummel, Irvin Died Peacefully after a five yr. Battle with cancer on Sunday October 4, 1998 at the Grand River Hospital Freeport Health Care Centre, at 66 years old. Irvin Hummel, loving husband of Therese Hummel (nee) Schnurr of 43 yrs. Dear father of Brian & his wife Annamaria of Cambridge and Wayne & his wife Donna of Guelph. Fondly remembered by his sisters Barb Harnack & her husband Wilfred, Doris Burley, Marg Brohman. Loving grandfather of Robby, Angela, Tyler, Gina & Eva. Predeceased by his parents John & Susanna Hummel and one brother Cecil Hummel. Irvin was a former member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus. Relatives & Friends are invited to call at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel 51 Benton at Church Street Kitchener on Wednesday October 7, 1998 from 2-3:30 p.m.. A complete Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Fr. Cornelius J.O'Mahony PP officiating. Cremation to follow. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy donations to Hope Springs, V.O.N or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
