- Schiedel, Sarah Ruby, daughter of William and Rachael (Reist) Rudy, died at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ont., Dec. 3, 1976; aged 78 y. She was married to Almer Schiedel, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1970. Surviving are 2 daughters (Myrtle Mrs. Russell Oberer and Ruth Mrs. Howard Bauman), one son (Howard), 9 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, twin sister (Rachael Mrs. Percy Snyder), and 2 brothers (Jacob and Abner Rudy). She was preceded in death by one son (Clifford), 2 grandchildren, one brother (Omar Rudy), and 2 sisters (Mrs. Mary Bechtel and Mrs. Martha Thaler). She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 5, in charge of Glenn Brubacher; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.

SCHIEDEL, Mrs. Almer (Sarah) \endash On Friday, December 3, 1976 at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, after a brief illness, Sarah Rudy, aged 78 years of Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge.
Dear mother of Myrtle (Mrs. Russell Oberer) of Kitchener, Ruth (Mrs. Howard Bauman) of Waterloo, Howard of Waterloo, and Raymond of Kitchener; twin sister of Rachael (Mrs. Percy Snyder) of Baden, sister of Jacob Rudy of Cambridge, and Abner Rudy of New Hamburg; also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by her husband, Almer, on January 5, 1970; one son, Clifford, and his two children, Kevin and Karen, in 1969; one brother, Omar Rudy, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bechtel and Mrs. Martha Thaler. She was a daughter of the late William Rudy and the former Rachael Reist. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, and the WMSC of the church.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until Sunday at 1 p.m.; then at First Mennonite Church for funeral and committal service Sunday, at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Glenn Brubacher will officiate. Interment First Mennonite cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board.

Mrs. Sarah Schiedel (left) of Kitchener and Mrs. Rachel Snyder (right) of Baden marked their 75th birthday May 8. As identical twin sisters, they have made a point of celebrating together every year for the past 45. Mrs. Schiedel is the wife of the late Almer Schiedel. She has four children and nine grandchildren; one son and two grandchildren are deceased. Mrs. Snyder's husband is Percy Snyder. She has eight children, 29 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all boys.
