  BOWMAN, Edna (Mrs. Noah) - Peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord, on Monday, August 17, 2009, at her residence. Edna (Shantz) Bowman, in her 86th year, of RR 1, Elora. Beloved wife of Noah Bowman for close to 65 years. Cherished mother of Mildred (Leonard) Martin of Alma, Karen Brubacher of Floradale, Elaine (Earl) Martin and Larry (Wilma) Bowman, all of Elora. Precious grandmother to 16 grandchildren; their partners; and 33 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Naomi (Wayne) Martin, Oliver (Elsie) Shantz, Orvie (Mary) Shantz and sister-in-law of Olive, Ella and Alice Shantz. Predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Susannah Shantz; brothers, Clayton, Aden, Abner and Vernon Shantz; sister-in-law, Edna Shantz; son, Dennis Bowman; son-in-law, Wayne Brubacher and four infant granddaughters. The family will receive their friends and relatives at Crystal View Mennonite Church, Floradale on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Horst officiating, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. In her memory, donations to the Ontario Gospel Echoes Team or Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family wishes to acknowledge the special care of Dr. R.A. Simpson, his staff and the second floor nurses at Groves Memorial Hospital. Thank you so much!
