  Milverton - Christian B. Ropp, 82, of Milverton died Monday at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Rose Nahrgang, of Rostock. A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Ropp was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ropp. He operated a greenhouse in Milverton for many years and was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Rostock. His wife, the former Katherine Kropf, whom he married Nov. 4, 1908, died Dec. 12, 1956. He was also predeceased by three sisters, a brother and a grandchild. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alec (Gertrude) Davidson of RR 2, Vienna; three brothers, Peter of Poole, Samuel of Zurich and William of Brunner; a sister, Mrs. Noah Speckley of Milverton, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The body is at the McMane Funeral Home. Removal will be made at noon Thursday for a service at the Evangelical United Brethern Church, Rostock, at 2: 30 p.m. The service will be conducted by Rev. G. R. Strome. Temporary entombment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, with burial later in Stirling Avenue Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener. Kitchener-Waterloo Record, December 31, 1963
