- Christian Erb, "the fifth and youngest son of John and Magdalena (Schrantz) Erb, was born May 15th, 1815. He was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Maris) Brower. She was born June 20th, 1815, and died some years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Erb resided on a farm a little below Preston where he was accidentally killed, June 28th, 1849, while raising the frame-work of their new house. They had a family of two children"
