  Wilfred H. Horne of Mapleton Manor, Listowel died on Dec. 26 at Listowel Memorial Hospital. He was 82. Mr. Horne was born on Feb. 6, 1897 in Listowel to the late Christian Horne and his late wife, the former Lavina Hallman. Mr. Horne was married to the former Mabel Bowman who died in June 1979. They were married on June 20, 1928 in Listowel. They resided in WallaceTp. before moving to Listowel in 1955. Mr. Horne was a farmer and a member of Calvary United Church and a member of the Listowel Legion Branch 259. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Marjorie) Hawthorne of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Ed (Della) Treitz of Listowel, Mrs. Mabel Klemmer of Saskatchewan, Mrs. Earl (Verna) Coghlin of Listowel, and Mrs.Irene Anderson of Elora; three grandchildren, Douglas, Gary and Laurie.
