    • SARAH HORST March 9, 1924 - April 22, 2009 Sarah Horst passed away peacefully at Martin's Rest Home, Elmira, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, with her loving sister, Mary Ann by her side. She was also a dear sister of Noah Hurst, Windsor. Predeceased by parents, Eli and Malinda (Sittler) Horst; sisters, brothers and their spouses, Ismael Horst, David and Persida Horst, Urias Horst, Susannah Horst, Gordon and Salinda Ariss, Evelyn Hurst, Eli and Helen Horst. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Sarah was employed for many years at K-W Hospital, first in housekeeping then later as a nurse after receiving her degree as a Registered Nursing Assistant. Sarah was a longtime member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener. The family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 1-2: 45 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday at 3 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment will be in First Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or a charity of your choice and would be appreciated by her family. The family wishes to express appreciation to Lydian Martin and her staff at Martin's Rest Home for their kind and compassionate care for the past four years. In living memory of Sarah, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
