- Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Guelph after a courageous battle. Robert (Bob) Lehman, in his 73rd year, was the beloved husband of Marlene Lehman.
Loving father of Helen and Jeff Peacock and Rosemarie Lehman and her partner Don Neil.
Cherished grandfather of Jackie Peacock.
Dear brother of George (Chip) and Karen Lehman, Ralph and Loretta Lehman and Barb and Pat Cremmen. Dear brother-in-law of June Lehman, Don and Joanne Searle and Bill and Mima Searle.
Bob will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and his last surviving uncle Jim Cooper, as well as many relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Lehman, his mother-in-law Helen Searle, brother Paul Lehman and infant daughter Mary.
Bob was a faithful parishioner of St. Boniface Church, Maryhill. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Maryhill Knights of Columbus, previously holding the position of Grand Knight.
Proud member of the Guelph Roamers Club. He loved his car racing. He loved meeting people and over the years as the owner of Bob's Welding, Ariss Welding and Armega Industries he made many friends and was known to many as "Mr. Fix It".
Knights of Columbus and Parish prayers were held in the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel , 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on August 17, 2010.
As well, prayers were offered at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Maryhill with Father Ron Voisin Officiating.
Interment St. Boniface Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Boniface Church Building Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
A special thank you to the staff of the CCU at the Guelph General Hospital and St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Guelph, and to Doctors William and Nicholas Ruddock.
