  George Bowman After an illness of several weeks, resulting from an accident, the death of George Bowman, the 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Bowman, of West Montrose, occurred at the Guelph Hospital last Monday. Deceased was a bright young man who was well known in Elmira, where he attended High School during two terms. His genial disposition and his gentlemanly bearing made for him many friends, who will be grieved to hear of his demise. During the last term of his studies here he contracted rheumatism and was laid up with the disease for some time. Subsequently he was obliged to go south, where his condition improved so that he was allowed to return to his home. Shortly after his arrival at his home he was thrown off a horse onto a water trough, when he sustained an injury to his kidneys. Hemorrhages set in and in spite of the best medical attention, he succumbed to the injuries. The funeral was held at 2:30 today (Thursday) at 2:30, to West Montrose Congregational church and Cemetery. Elmira Signet Jul 18 1918
