  LUCAS, EDWARD LORNE Due to the aftermath of a stroke suffered some years ago, at 8 o'clock on the morning , at Knollwood Hospital in Kitchener in his 53rd year. He had been ailing for the past six years. Born in Killean, Puslinch Township, he resided in Doon, where he was employed with Doon Twines before making his home at 283 Fountain St. in Preston some years ago. In July 1932, he married Mary Ann Gillow, who survives. Mr. Lucas was a Presbyterian by faith, His father predeceased him on December 17 of last year. Also surviving is a daughter, Barbara Ann of Preston; three brothers, Thomas of Kitchener; John of Saskatchewan; William of western Canada; and a sister, Mrs. James Allan of SK. Service at the Stager- Pass Ltd. Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2: 30. Rev. H. G. Cleghorn of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers: Floyd Schiedel, Edward Baxter, James McDonnell Sr. , all of Kitchener; Nelson, Arthur and John Gillow, all of Preston. Interment in Doon Cemetery. January 25, 1948
