    • LUCAS, Thomas - At his residence on Friday, Dec. 14, 1979, following a lengthy illness, Thomas Lucas aged 88 years of 200 Cedarwoods Crescent, Kitchener.

      Beloved husband of the former Gladys Bernhardt who predeceased him January 20, 1976; dear father of Floyd, Mrs. Irene Allcroft, Florence and Mrs. George (Patricia) McKenzie, all of Kitchener; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survived.

      Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He served in the 111th Batallion in the First World War.

      Friends may call at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., after Sunday, 2 p.m.

      Funeral and committal service in the chapel on Monday, 2 p.m. with Rev. Fred J. Roberts officiating. Interment Woodland
      cemetery.
