- James Baker
The death occurred at his home at Bright on Monday night of Mr. James Baker at the age of 80 years. The deceased was born in Devonshire, England, and came to Canada over fifty years ago and first settled in East Zorra. Later he moved onto a farm near Bright where he had since resided. The deceased was a successful farmer and an extensive breeder of heavy horses and was widely, known through showing his prize stock at the spring and fall fairs of this district for many years.
The deceased was a member of the Anglican Church. He is survived by his widow and a grown up family.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from his late home to St. James' Anglican Church. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. R. C Pitts, of Haysville, rector of the parish.
