  McGLYNN, Alphonsus J. Suddenly, at his daughter's home in Whitby, on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1995 in his 81st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Marjorie Kowalaky. Loving father of Gloriann (Douglas) Fowler of Florida and Sharon (Terry) Wright of Whitby. Dear brother of Norah Lawrence of Toronto, Ann Scherer of Waterloo and Eileen Grimm of Cambridge. Sadly missed by five grandchildren, Scott (Kerry) Fowler, Glenn (Ramona) Fowler, Sally (Peter) Izzio, Tim Wright and Joe Wright and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Megen. Predeceased by his parents, Alphonsus and Mary Jane McGlynn; two brothers, Peter and Joseph and two sisters, Winnifred Byrnes and Monica Mather. Mr. McGlynn was born in Preston and was a life long resident of the area. He was a member of St. Clement's Parish, Knights of Columbus, Past District Deputy, Past Grand Knight and Trustee, Charter member of 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Father Shea Assembly. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996 at 10 a.m., at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge. Interment Parklawn Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home Friday at 8: 30 p.m. Unknown Paper
