  • Notes 
    • The late Jacob Stadelbauer, whose death was chronicled in our last issue, was born in Baden, Germany, in 1835. When about nine years of age he came with his parents to Canada. They lived for a few years on what is now the Schierholtz farm, and then they moved on the farm several miles north-east of Elmira, where he lived the remainder of his days. He married Lena Shieck, who with six children survive him. The children are: David, in Berlin; Henry, on the Edler farm; Peter, at home; Mary Ann (Mrs. Dan. Brox), of Spruce Grove, Alberta; Hannah (Mrs. Ed. Goebel), Leopoldville, Alta.; Lydia, at home. A son and a daughter preceded him in death.
      The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, interment taking place in Elmira Union Cemetery.
