  Mrs. Alexander StarrPRESTON, Mrs. Alexander (Catherine) Starr, 90, one of Preston's oldest residents, died yesterday, in hospitalat London, where she had been confined for the past month. Mrs. Starr was well-known in the community, having resided here for 55 years. Born in St. Agatha, July 19, 1863, Mrs. Starr, nee Catherine Bisch, was married to the late Alexander Starr at Macton, Ont., in 1878. He predeceased her in 1951. A member of St. Clement's RC Church, she was also a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society. Surviving are two sons, John of Preston and Harold of Seaford, Delaware; two daughters, Mrs. J. (Ellen) Brown of Preston and Mrs. J. (Annie) Groh, of Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Runstedler, Hespeler; Mrs. John Paul of Toronto and Mrs. Jean Wagatha of Guelph. Seventeen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, also survive. Two sons, Wyman and Edward and a brother, Jacob, predeceased her. Thebody will rest at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, until Tuesday, at 8: 30 a.m., when removal will be made to St. Clements church, for requiem mass, at 9 o'clock.
