    • WIDEMAN, Harold - Died peacefully at home with his family by his side, on August 30, 2009, after being recently diagnosed with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Delphine; beloved father of Brian(Lee), Fred (Caroline), Jeff (Mary); proud grandfather of Sarah and Rachel, Jacob, Nick and Sasha, Matthew, Mark and Meredith Maw. Dear brother of Dorothy (Bill Sittler), Ruby (Amsey Weber), late Clare (Lucille), Jim (Christine), late Edgar (Beatrice), Carol (David Ringer), Erma (Bob Martin). Son in law of Eli Martin and the late Lauretta Martin; brother-inlaw to Lloyd and Delphine Martin, Eileen and Lawrence Frey, Ruth Ann and Grant Bauman. Predecessed by his parents, George and Elizabeth Wideman and nephew T. Scott. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Harold spent most of his working career at Wallenstein Feed and Supply. After retirement he kept himself busy with golf and a number of charities. Visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home in Elmira, on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Elmira Mennonite Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2. Interment immediately following the service at the Hawkesville Cemetery. Those wishing to make donations in memory of Harold are asked to consider Mennonite Central Committee, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charitable organization of your choice.
