- LEO AMENT
The death of Mr. Leo. Ament oc-curred at the home of his son, Alex-ander, R.R. No. 2, Wallenstein, on Sunday, March 26th at 5 p.m. The late Mr. Ament suffered a stroke about 4 weeks ago which was the cause of his death. He was born in Waterloo County, 84 years ago, and at the age of 15 moved with his par-ents to near Ertel, where he resided up until his marriage to Margaret Gruber when he moved to the farm, now occupied by Mr. H. W. Foster, just west of Glenallan. After dispos-ing of his farm, he resided in Glen-allan for about 10 years, when he went to live with his son on the farm, north east of Glenallan. He attended St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Macton and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Beside his wife, who is a patient at Knollwood Park Hospital, Kitchener, he is survived by three sons, William and Albert of Sask., and Allen, of R.R. No. 2, Wal-lenstein, and one daughter, Mar-garet, Mrs. Edward Benninger of near Maryhill.
The funeral was held from his late residence to St. Joseph R.C. Church, Macton on Wednesday morning for requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Peter Ellert, C.R., officiated. Inter-ment took place in St. Theresas' R.C. Cemetery, Elmira.
