____________________
John Haddow was born c 1807, Newton-on-Ayr, and Agnes in 1808, 10 July, Ochiltree. Family stories say that Agnes had been married previously to a Captain Ramsay of the British Navy, and that he was buried at sea in the Mediterranean, but so far no record has been found in British Admiralty Records to support this fact.
Was John a brother of Robert Haddow who came to Canada in 1841? His tombstone says Native of Ayrshire, Scotland and he was born 1811. There is some connection with this family as we have pictures of several Haddows including Mungo, William - who could be the one that died at age 21.
