- Death of Mary E. Morton
Died, in Ayr, on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd, 1919, at 10 o'clock a.m., Mary E. Morton. The funeral will take place from her late residence, Elliott Street, on Friday, Dec. 26th, at 2:30 p.m., too Ayr cemetery. Miss Morton had been ill for some time and the outcome was not unexpected. She was born on the homestead just east Ayr and took up residence with her sisters in this village some 18 years ago. She was a trained nurse and spent a few years following her profession in the City of Toronto. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Two brothers, Robert and James, and four sisters, Jane, Jessie, Catherine and Tena, survive. The services will be conducted by Rev. J. J. Brown and Dr. Thomson.
