- CUTHBERTSON, John Radcliff - There died at ? Logan Ave., Toronto on Sunday, May 8, a former resident of Ayr, in the person of James R. Cuthbertson, in his 73rd year. Mr. Cuthbertson was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1856, at the age of 18, settling in Ayr with his father's family. After a residence here of about 15 years, he secured a position in the mail delivery department of the Toronto post office, and had been there continuously for 40 years. The deceased had been twice married, and is survived by his second wife and a family of 8. Two daughters have been missionaries, one in Labrador and the other in India. Robert and David Cuthbertson, and Mrs. A. Melvin, are cousins. The remains were brought to Ayr on Tuesday morning for interment in the cemetery here, the funeral taking place from the C.P.R. depot immediately after the arrival of the train due at 9: 28 a.m. Rev. J.J. Brown conducted the service, assisted by Dr. Thomson. The pallbearers were six of deceased's co-laborers in the Toronto post office. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were; Mrs. J. R. Cuthbertson (widow) and four sons and one daughter (one son coming from Youngstown, Ohio); Mr. Hugh Cuthbertson (brother) and son Norman; Mr. T. L. Cuthbertson (cousin), Toronto; Mr. J.
