- Well-Known Summer Resident of Niagara Dies in Toronto
NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE Sept. 16-Niagara friends are deeply grieved by the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Susan Anderson. widow of the late Dr. Hedley B. Anderson, which came in from Toronto yesterday morning: her passing was unexpected as she was apparently in good health when she left here on Wednesday, after spending a happy summer among her old friends while a guest of Mrs. Charles Hunter. The deceased made her home of late years with her youngest daughter. Mrs. Arthur Russell, in Toronto, and it was her daughter who, on going to wish her good-morning found her lifeless body, death having evidently come as she slept. The remains will be brought to Niagara for interment in St. Mark's cemetery, probably on Monday. Two daughters and one son survive viz, Mrs. John Strachan, Belfast, Ireland, Mrs. Arthur Russell, Toronto, and Allen B. Anderson, of Vancouver, B. C., also several grandchildren and one great-grandchild, to all of whom sincere sympathy will be given. The deceased, who was a member of the Bell family, of Brantford. was a resident of Niagara for nearly 50 years, during which time she earned the affection of everyone by her kindly and helpful dispostion. She has resided in Toronto for the past 18 years, but her summers were usually spent in this place among her old friends.
