      Sixty-one years ago Jessie Hope first saw the light of day in Ayr. Her girlhood was spent here until she married the late James Edgar and finally located in Toronto. On Sunday she passed away and was buried here on Tuesday. A daughter in Toronto survives, also two brothers living at a distance. The pallbearers were: Jas. A. Edgar, Wroxeter; Alex Edgar, Gorrie; Allan Edgar, Paris; James Henderson and Geo. D. and James Black, Ayr.
