  NEARINGBURG, Don On Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by the love of his daughters and friends, Don Nearingburg in his 76th year, of Elmira. Dear husband of the late Arlene (Dennis) Nearingburg (2000). Devoted father of Cathy of Elmira, Dawn Farr (predeceased in 2005), Janis of Flinton and father-in-law of Larry Farr of Elmira. Cherished Papa of Kandis, Katelyn, Shayne, Brady and Olivia. Brother of David and Linda of Bayfield and Jeanne Brown of Toronto. Don will be missed by his beloved cat "Hobo". Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Bess Nearingburg of Cambridge. Don was an avid supporter and director of the Elmira Sugar Kings Hockey Club for many years and throughout his life he was very involved with many community organizations. At Don's request cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira, for a memorial visitation on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. On Thursday, June 17, the memorial visitation will take place at Trinity United Church, Elmira, from 1-1: 45 p.m. followed by a memorial service to celebrate Don's life at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Jagger officiating. In Don's memory, donations to the Regional Cancer Centre or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. www.dreisingerfuneralhome.com.
