ANOTHER LOVED ONE PASSES PEACEFULLY AWAY
Mrs. Thomas Hanson died Thursday, Feb. 1, 1912, at the age of 20 years and 19 days, at her home in Chicago. Miss Grace D. McCarty was born in Ganges, Jan. 12, 1886. She was married June 18. 1907 to Thomas O. Hanson of Chicago. To this union one son was. born, who was welcomed into their home Jau. 27, 1912, but the mother was not spared to enjoy her treasure. God in his infinite wisdom called her away from her loved ones to a brighter and ever enduring happiness that will be in all its glory when time has faded and passed away.
Deceased was the only child of Mr and Mrs. C. F. McCarty, has always lived in this community previous to the past five years, and was well known, She was a person who was highly esteemed and respected and all who knew her loved her.
In June 1904 she graduated from the Fennville high school, and the following three years she taught the Orr school, where she was loved as a teacher. When young, she united with the New U. B. Church, was a devout christian and was intensely loyal and devoted to her church work, being an active worker. She had great evidence she was saved, and died in the full assuarance of faith, being conscious to the end, often telling her husband and parents she would meet them in heaven.
She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, father and mother, who will long cherish the memory of a loving and devoted wife and daughter, besides an infant son five days old, and other rel- atives and many friends.
The remains were brought from Chicago to her parents' home last Friday night, accompanied by her husband Mr. and Mrs. C. F. McCarty and little babe, whom she gave to her mother. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Swank at the New U. B. Church Sunday at 11 o'clock and interment made in the McDowell cemetery. Mrs. Lavine of Chicago attended the funeral.
