Notes |
- In Galt, on Sabbath morning last, at half-past 9 o'clock, Miss Isabella Jane Gash, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Richard Gash, and niece of James Blain, Esq., of Galt, aged 25 years.
Miss Gash died very suddenly on the morning mentioned above. She had been unwell for some weeks, but seemed to be rapidly recovering when the dread messenger delivered his summons. Her untimely death has cast quite a gloom over the town, for she was universally beloved for her many amiable traits and social qualities. Her funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon last, and the attendance fully demonstrated the respect in which she was held by the inhabitants of the town generally.
