- 2005SHANTZ, Noah M. - Peacefully, on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at his home, Noah M. Shantz, in his 74th year, of RR 2, West Montrose.Beloved husband of Almeda (Bauman) Shantz. Loving father of Glen and Irene Shantz of RR 1, Waterloo, Nancy and Delton Martin of Bluevale, Stewart Shantz of Kitchener, Larry and Marilyn Shantz of RR 3, Listowel, Joyce and Maynard Gingrich of RR 2, Atwood, Grace and Arnold Frey of RR 1, Elora, Peter and Janice Shantz of RR 3, Listowel, Linda and Murray Lichty of RR 1, Ariss, Lorrie and Mark Zimmerman of Indiana, Tim and Kerry Shantz of Linwood, Susan and Terry Zehr of RR 1, Millbank. Fondly remembered by his 47 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of Urias and Martha Shantz, Nancy and Walter Martin, Orvie and Edith Shantz, Anne Shantz, Annie and Abner Gingrich.Predeceased by his parents, Levi and Melinda Shantz, two brothers Melvin and Aden Shantz.The family will receive friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira today (Monday) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a family service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, June 29 at 1: 30 p.m. then to the West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.In his memory, donations to the Christian Horizon Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society may be made as expressions of sympathy.
