  • Notes 
    • Strome.- Samuel Ervin, son of Moses R. and Sarah Strome, died in Peel Twp., Ont., on Sunday May 27, 1928; aged 58 y. 5 m. 8 d. He was born in Woolwich Twp., and moved with his parents to Red Hill later to Linwood, where he spent his boyhood. In 1899 he married Amanda Musselman and moved to the farm where they resided till the time of his demise. He leaves his dearly beloved wife, one daughter (Beatrice), 2 brothers (Liege and John), 3 sisters (Mrs. Ed Harmer, Grayce, and Mrs. Gene Sherrer), three sisters and 2 brothers predeceased him.

      "A faithful friend, a father dear,
      A gentle parent lieth here
      Great is the loss we now sustain
      But hope in heaven to meet again."


      The services and interment were conducted at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Ont., in charge of B. E. Newnham, of Newberry, and C. F. Derstine, of Kitchener.
