________________
Death of "Captain" March
Word was received in Galt this week of the death of Mr. William March (better known as Captain March) for many years a resident of Galt, but more latterly of Edinburgh, Scotland. The deceased gentleman had reached the ripe age of 89 years, and it is only the older residents of this town who will bear him in mind, for over twenty years must have elapsed since he left Galt. He was father of Mrs. H. Hilbert, of this town, and of William J. March, of Jersey City, N.J. During the latter years of this life in Galt, Mr. March kept a book-store on Main street, which he relinquished to go and reside in Scotland. His old friends in this vicinity will learn of his death with regret.
