- Edward Marks, age seventy-two years, passed away on September 6, 1933 after a twelve year illness. He was the son of Frederick and Catherine Lang Marks.
He was a native of Preston, Ontario having moved to Detroit forty-two years ago. He was in the wholesale business for two years and then entered the retail grocery business. For many years he owned a store at Selden and Hamilton Avenue and while in this business he served as President of the Retail Grocers' Association.
He is survived by his widow, Carrie E Marks; a son, Charles Emerson Marks; a brother, Harry Marks at Grand Rapides; and three sisters, Mrs. Lawn Birt of Kalamazoo, Miss Belle Marks of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. George DeLoge of Chatham, Ontario.
