- MRS. J. REDGELY BELL
Elmira friends have received word that Mrs. J. Redgely Bell, nee Alva Ethel Dunke, passed away in Edmonton, Alberta, after a lingering illness. Deceased was the second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Dunke. She was born in Elmira and received her early education in Elmira school, later she attended Alma College, St. Thomas. She was a general favorite, as her bright and cheerful disposition endeared her to all who knew her. She was an active member and organist in Wesley Methodist Church.
On Feb. 18, 1909, she was united in marriage to Mr. John Redgely Bell, leaving the same day for their future home in Lloydminster, Sask., where they resided for some time, later moving to Edmonton, Alta., where she remained until her death.
Surviving are her husband and daughter, also two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Forrester, (Erna) of Hamilton, and Mrs. George L. Ziegler, (Viola) of Parry Sound. The funeral will be held from Dreisinger's Funeral Chapel, Elmira, on Friday, Oct. 11, at 1.30 p.m. Interment will be made in Elmira Union Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Martin of St. Giles church, Hamilton and Rev. J. S. Wright of Elmira, will officiate.
