  Elmira Signet: - Mrs Delion, an aged lady, mother of Mr Hy Delion, of the Elmira Advertiser, fell down a flight of stairs last Thursday, fracturing both her arms at the wrist and sustaining other injuries. She is in a precarious condition. Mrs Delion is the mother of Charles and Fred Delion, of Berlin. The Chronicle Telegraph 12 Dec 1901, p. 3 ____________ LAID TO REST. The funeral of the late Mrs. F. Delion, Sr., was held on Saturday from Berlin to the Union Cemetery, Elmira. The service at the residence of the deceased's son, Mr. F. H. Delion, town, was conducted by Rev. W. C. Boese, and at Elmira he was assisted by Rev. P. Graupner. The pall bearers at Elmira were Messrs. Phil. Christman, C. Ruppel, Casper Mogk, Casper Ziegler, Peter Jansen, and Charles Klinck. The Berlin News Record Mon, Jan 14, 1907 Page 1 __________ CAME TO BERLIN 70 YEARS AGO. Having lived a useful and helpful life and spared for twelve years be- yond the allotted three score years and ten, Mrs. Fredk., Delion, sr., passed away into the Great Beyond at an early hour this morning. The dissolution took place at the residence of her son Mr. F. H. Delion, Church street, where she has had her home for some years past. About two months ago she suffered an attack of paralysis, depriving her of the use of her right side and of the power of speech. Latterly she could not take any nourishment and for the past two days she was unconscious. Had she lived until February 14th, she would have been 82 years of age. She was born in Alsace, Germany, and when only twelve years of age she came to Berlin. Here she stayed with her aunt Mrs. Anthony Wagner, on King street, whose husband carried on a pottery. In 1834 she was married to Dr. Fredk. Delion and the family lived in Elmira for about 25 years. Mr. Delion died in 1869 and the only survivors of the family are Messrs Fred. H., Charles C., and Henry, all of Berlin. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 a. m. with a brief service at the residence of Mr. F. H. Delion, by Rev. W. C. Boese. The remains will be conveyed to Elmira and will be interred in the Union Cemetery with services immediately following at St. Paul's Lutheran church.
