Notes |
- Cupid is busy in Elmira these days. There have been two weddings in town this week and more are promised shortly. The first was that of Mr. Alex Stumpf, only son of Mr and Mrs. John S. Stumpf, to Miss Margaret Long, both of Elmira. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's parents, Church Street, at 1 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of only the immediate relatives. The couple were unattended, the bride being dressed in mauve satin. The officiating minister was Rev. A.M. Hamilton. The young couple left on the 4 o'clock CPR train for Toronto. On their return they will reside in the groom's fine house on Factory Street.
