  MATHES, Gunther Surrounded by family at his residence after a lengthy illness on Monday, December 23, 2013, at the age of 71. Much loved husband of Katherine "Kathy" (nee Frim) of 48 years. Loving dad of David (Gwen), Tammy (Ray) and Michelle (Steve). Opa of Joshua, Samantha and Emma. Gunther will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Gunther was a long time Realtor in the K-W area and former Proprietor of Cedar Grove Lodge. He was a District Sales Manager for Corby Wiser's Distillery and finished his career in Property Management. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service celebrating Gunther's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1 p.m. with The Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, Erbsville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ride for Dad or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700.
