  WIDEMAN, Josiah B. - On Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at his residence in his 96th year, of RR 3 Wallenstein. Husband of the late Judith (Martin) Wideman (2004). Leaves to mourn his children, Orvie and Elvina Wideman of RR 3 Wallenstein, Elizabeth and Henry G. Weber of RR 2, Wallenstein, Amsey and Maryann Wideman of RR 1, Holyrood, MaryAnne Wideman and Nancy Wideman both of RR 3 Wallenstein, Menno and Hannah Wideman of RR 1, Linwood, Sidney and Naomi Wideman of RR 3 Wallenstein. Also survived by 42 grandchildren, 124 great-grandchildren, one sister, Barbara and Moses Bauman; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Melvin) Wideman and Leah Martin. Predeceased by his parents, Enoch and Sarah Wideman; one daughter-in-law, Edna (Orvie) Wideman, three brothers, two sisters and one brother in infancy. Friends may call at his home, RR 3, Wallenstein, after 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) where funeral service will be held on Thursday morning, January 29, at 9 a.m., then to Linwood Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
