  On Monday, July 6, 1998, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Jean in her 66 th year, of Elmira. Dear sister of Lillian Melitzer of West Montrose, Lorraine (Mrs. Leo) Steffler of Waterloo, Bob and Lil Arndt of Alma, Eva (Mrs. Orval) Billings of Elmira, Margaret (Mrs. Frank) Vettor of Guelph, Charles and Marjorie Arndt of Elmira, Grace (Mrs. Robert) Leis of Kitchener, Paul Arndt, Peter and Sheila Arndt of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Eva (Massel) Arndt; three sisters, June, Helen and Joyce, one brother, Harry, and one brother-in-law, Melvin Melitzer. There will be no funeral home visitation. There will be a public funeral for family and friends in the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel, Elmira, on Thursday, July 9, 1998 at 1 p.m., with The Rev. Dr. Linda J. Bell officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
