  Mr. John S. Ruppel, is the junior partner in the firm of Ruppel & Son, undertakers and dealers in furniture. He was born in Elmira, attended the public and Lutheran separate schools during his youth, and has since engaged in the business established by his father, Mr. Chas. Ruppel, one of the oldest citizens of Elmira. Messrs. Chas. Ruppel and Son have sold their Undertaking Business to Mr. Christian Dreisinger who will be pleased to supply the public with anything they may want in his line. The Elmira Signet, Thursday, January 22, 1925 ___________________ There passed away on Tuesday morning, John S. Ruppel, son of the late Charles Ruppel, who has been in ill health for the past two years at his home, 20 King St. N. He was in his 67th year. He was born in Elmira and has been a resident of Waterloo for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Kitchener. Surviving are his wife, one son, C. Herbert Ruppel of Waterloo, two sisters, Emma and Bertha, also five grandchildren. The funeral was held Thursday from the Letter and Dreisinger Funeral Parlors to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Elmira, at 3 o'clock. Interment was made in Union Cemetery.
