  Joseph Schaffer 13 SEPTEMBER, 1930 \endash 4 FEBRUARY, 2015 SCHAFFER, Joseph \endash Joe passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Joan for 37 years. Dear father of David (Fran) Schaffer, Kenneth (Lola) Schaffer, Gerry (Dee) Schaffer, Bonnie (Frank ) Tancredi, Lori Mara, Stephen (Chiharu) Schaffer, Christine (Bob) Brohman, John (Susan) Arnold, Judy (Jake) Goetz, Joanne (Nick) Sutton, Joel (Denise) Arnold, and Jeffrey Arnold (friend Denise). Joe is survived by his many, many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He is also missed by his brother, John (Joyce) Schaffer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Peter Davidson and his twin brother Nick Schaffer. Joe worked at Uniroyal for over 32 years and enjoyed his 30 years of retirement, spending his time travelling, camping and being with his family. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, on Saturday evening from 7-9pm, and Sunday from 12 until 1pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 1pm, with a reception to follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Private interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
