  Rudy, Sidney M. ~ Went home peacefully to be with his Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013 as the result of a fall. Sid Rudy in his 86th year, of St. Jacobs, was the beloved husband for 61 years of Dorothy (Bast) Rudy. Loving father of Connie and Dave Martin of RR 1, Elora, Patricia and Steve Errey of Ariss, and James and Margaret Rudy of St. Clements. Also lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Nancy Rudy, Melinda Rudy and Lydia Bowman, and brother-in-law of Elsie (Brubacher) Rudy. Sid will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Aaron and Sarah (Martin) Rudy, stepmother Elizabeth (Martin) Rudy, brothers Cyrus (Adeline) Rudy and Menno Rudy, sisters Leah (Philip) Martin, Susannah Rudy, Barbara (George) Bowman and Saloma (Manassah) Martin, and brother-in-law Josiah Bowman. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Wallenstein Bible Chapel on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hawkesville Cemetery. In Sid's memory, donations to Fair Havens Ministries or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
