Mrs. Hannah King Stahlin passed away Nov. 18, 1918 at 5:30 p. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shannon. She was born in Canada 72 years ago this month and with her parents moved Michigan when 14 years of age, settling near Belding. When 20 years of age she was united in marriage to Henry Stahlin and for 51 years they lived together sharing each other's joys and sorrows. To them four children were born, Mrs. Kate Shannon and E. M. Stahlin of this city, J. W. Stahlin of Wagner, Montana and Mrs. J. O. Brown of Mt. Vernon, O. After the death her companion April 15 of this year gradually failed until 9 days before she passed away she sank into unconsciousness never awaking until she awoke in heaven. She leaves beside her children, ten grandchildren, three of whom are serving their country, Neil Place somewhere in France, Harold Stahlin in camp at California and Howard Shannon in camp in New Mexico; also three great-grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a dear mother and grandmother.
