  MARTIN, Carol (Mrs. Simeon B.) - Called home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in her 75th year. Carol (White) Martin of St. Jacobs had recently returned from Cameroon due to illness and passed away peacefully with family by her side at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Simeon B. Martin (2005). Loving mother of Susan and Keith Howard of Lacombe, Alta., Eric of Kitchener, Paul and Deb of St. Jacobs, Jean Swartzentruber and Ron Cressman of Mount Forest, John of Kitchener, Linda and Harry Sahagian of Stouffville. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchi1dren, Anne and Zachary Frantz, Stephen Howard, Daniel and Kathleen Swartzentruber, Amanda Swartzentruber, Austin Martin, Matthew Sahagian; and by her two great-grandchildren, Simeon Blaze and Alice Bea Frantz. Sister of Pat and Robert Stephens, Nancy White and sister-in-law of Alice Martin, Loreen Martin and Susannah Clemmer. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families and by her special friends, Gary and Sharon Blake and their family and Terry Mambella. Predeceased by her parents, Judson and Alice (Kueneman) White; and her sister, Elizabeth Schmidt. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Friday, July 31, 2009 from 1-4 and 6: 30-9 p.m. A private family interment will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harold Brill officiating. In her memory, donations to Lutheran Bible Translators or International Rain Forest School (Cameroon) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Waterloo Region Record 30 Jul 2009
