    • A-2-26 Samuel Bedford The Last Will and Testament of Samuel Bedford, late of the Township of Waterloo, Yeoman, who died on or about the 7th April 1859 at the Township of Waterloo, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at the Township of Waterloo, was proved and registered in the said Surrogate Court, a copy of which said Last Will and Testament if hereunder written and that the administration of all and singular was granted to Isaac Clemens of the Township of Waterloo, Esquire, and Norval Ferguson Simons, of the Village of Preston, Merchant, Executors named in said Will…

      …I Samuel Bedford of the Township of Waterloo, Yeoman, do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament…

      First I give devise and bequeath to Isabella Bedford, alias Easton, my beloved wife, that part of my real estate situate and lying in the Township of Waterloo, being composed of a part of Lot Number 22, broken front concession containing by admeasurement eleven acres and thirty one rods be the same more of less and may be more fully known and described by a Deed in fee simple given to her by me bearing date 9th April 1856. - To her, her heirs and assigns for ever, for her own absolute use and benefit, all of which real estate I give to her in lieu of Dower:-

      Secondly, I give and bequeath twenty five pounds to Nancy Easton of the same Township aforesaid, daughter of Isabella Bedford alias Easton, my wife.

      Thirdly I give and bequeath the sum of twelve pounds ten shillings to George Easton of the same Township aforesaid, son of Isabella Bedford alias Easton, my wife. To pay the above legacies I request my real estate composed of 24 acres cut off from the east end of the west half of said Lot number 29 and five acres cut off from the east end of the west half of said Lot Number 29 in the broken front concession of Waterloo, to be sold as soon as convenient after my decease together with my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever. Bedding and furniture of household and one cow excepted which I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Isabella Bedford alias Easton - and after my funeral and testamentary expenses and all my just and lawful debts the balance in full remaining in the hands of my Executors to be equally divided between my Grand children, the children of my late son John Bedford of Normandy, now deceased. And lastly, I hereby appoint my trusty friends Isaac Clemens, Esquire, of the township of Waterloo, and N. F. Simons of Preston, Merchant, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
