- Rites held at Yorkton
YORKTON (Staff). - Funeral service for Mrs. Menno Bannick, 81, who died in hospital Nov. 20, following a six months illness, was held Friday from the First Baptist church. Burial was in the Yorkton cemetery with Rev. L. M. Wenham officiating.
Mrs. Bannick is survived by her husband and two sons, Douglas of Forrest City, Ohio, and Homer of Winnipeg, brothers John and Henry of Brantford, Ont., and three sisters in Preston, Ont. and one in Linden, Ont.
Mrs. Bannick was born June 18, 1871 at Port Elgin, Ont., where she received her early education. She later graduated from Columbia university household science. She married in 1917 and came to a farm in the Yorkton district that same year.
